Where
will the information and articles be coming from?
We already have some
professionals or “experts” in the different areas
working on some material for us and plan to continually seek out
the latest information from all around the world. We aim to use
information which is current, credible, and relevant. We also plan to
offer a variety of viewpoints on many issues so that readers can make up
their own minds and be well informed. [Top]
Will
the information be relevant to people outside of Australia?
Yes!! Although we plan to
provide as much Australian info as possible (as there is a real need for
this on the web at present) most of the material should be relevant on a
global scale. We also plan to cater for individuals so once we know where
you are from we will make sure you receive info and newsletters tailored
specifically to your needs. [Top]
How
often will you be updating information?
In the first few months
we will try to post some new articles and info every couple of weeks.
However, once the site is fully functioning (hopefully by Christmas) we
plan to update content weekly with newsletters once a fortnight. [Top]
What
products will you be offering?
The main focus of our
site will be information but we will introduce some products which are
congruent to our charter soon. We already have access to supply of good quality wooden toys (as seen at the Parenting Expo in Perth),
books, WA Cancer Foundation sunwear, Safety 1st products, and
an alternative fitted cloth nappy. These products will be introduced
gradually over the coming months. Information about the products will be
posted as they are introduced. We aim to offer prices which are cheaper
than shop prices. [Top]
Will
your prices be competitive?
We understand that price
is an important factor for any family when making purchases. Many
purchases over the internet today are simply not value for money. Our aim is to get
our products delivered to your door for
at least the same price that you could buy it yourself from a shop - if not more
economical. From the feedback we have received to date this is critical. [Top]
Will
you cater for low income families?
Absolutely!! One of our
basic principles is that QUOL
doesn’t take a lot of money. There will be loads of free information,
give-aways, and a whole section of the site will be devoted to activities to do with your children which are low cost but high value. Our choice of
products will also reflect this. [Top]
What
age will you be catering for?
Initially we plan to
offer loads of information aimed at pregnancy to five years old. This seems to be the time when most people are looking for a lot of input.
However our fundamentals cover issues which apply to the whole family
regardless of age. We believe if we can help parents achieve a better
quality of life for their children this benefit will naturally flow on to
them. If we find we are receiving many questions about older children then
we will introduce ways of catering for them. We also want to grow with our
members so that as your children move through the different stages over the years then so will we.

Will
it be safe to use my credit card on your site?
When we begin to
introduce products on our site we will be offering the choice to purchase
using credit cards. The system we will put in place will ensure security
for any credit card purchases made. If you are not comfortable with this
you will be able to pay for purchases using other means. [Top]
Are
you a non profit organisation?
We are not a non profit
organisation. We aim to develop this website to the highest level possible
such that we can provide the service that we believe is necessary. In
order to do this money is required - and that is one of the motivators for
us to ensure that our business is healthy and growing. 10% of all profits
that we make will be donated to non-profit organisations that aim to achieve
our underlying fundamentals. [Top]
Are
you an Australian owned company?
Yes
we are 100% West Australian owned and managed. We are proud of the fact
that we are Australian and this will very much be a focal point of the
services and products we deliver. Wherever possible we aim to provide
Australian products and services as, we believe, this directly benefits
our children's future. [Top]
