Our
charter
We
aim to improve the quality of life (QUOL) for kids and their families
throughout the world. We will achieve this through the provision of
information, services and products in relation to our seven core
fundamentals:
Safety,
Health, Knowledge,
Education,
Earth
care,
Community,
and
Convenience.
We
pledge to donate 10% of all profits generated from quolkids.com to
non-profit and charitable organisations which support our fundamentals.
Where ever possible our aim is to provide
Australian products and services to you. This enables us to support both
our local communities and our country.
Our
seven fundamentals are defined as follows:
Safety
Being
aware of potential hazards in our daily lives and taking steps to provide
a safe, nurturing environment for our families.
Health
Acknowledging
that healthy bodies and healthy minds help us get more out of life. This
means staying informed on nutrition, exercise, medical practices and
choices, hygiene, and putting these ideas into practice.
Knowledge
When
we are informed and have the ability to think clearly we can make better
choices. Quality of life is significantly affected by the choices we make.
Continually improving our knowledge on a wide range of issues helps us all
make informed decisions.
Education
Education
is a gift that should be cherished by our children and us. How we choose
to educate our children and our own attitudes towards learning will have
far reaching effects. The way we teach our children to think should then
lead to a lifetime of learning. As parents we too can model the value of
education by continuing to learn throughout our lives.
Earth care
If
everyone could take responsibility for their own actions and aim to live
in a sustainable way then the world would be a much healthier place. If we
take care of our environment it will take care of us, providing us with a
wonderful place to live, learn and experience.
Community
True
community is where we as people value diversity and recognise that we are
interdependent on each other. By providing an environment where we truly
share all the experiences which life has to offer enables us to grow and
learn collectively.
Convenience
Achieving
QUOL is all about more family time and having time to do those things
which truly make us happy. Using our resources efficiently and having easy
access to many services would greatly enhance this.
