When you first find out you're pregnant you feel like you're the first person in the world to experience it. There's so much to comprehend, so many new ideas and realities to get your mind around. It’s simply overwhelming! In no time at all I had bookshelves to rival the National Library. Information “quantity” was not an issue, and of course suddenly I had everyone giving me advice (even the postman, and he’s only delivered mail ! ). NOT what I needed! I began to feel angry and frustrated with repetitive, sterile information. I felt like a medical experiment and I was funding an entire industry living off my fear.
Out of sheer frustration I made the decision that no woman should be in
this same situation ever again. |
