Go Bush 2001 at The Hills Forest Activity
Centre
Hey why not Go Bush with CALM?
The team at The Hills
Forest Discovery Centre have done it again. Their Go
Bush 2001 program is another great calendar of nature-based activities
for the whole family. This huge 7 month program is choka block with
outdoor, nature-based activities from April to November and they’re in
the business of making it fun! Look out for the orange and blue Go
Bush 2001 brochure in your local library or phone the Discovery Centre
for information: 9295 2244
The Go
Bush 2001 program includes some golden oldies, that are still popular
after many years such as the Nightshift,
Tunnel by Candlelight, and the spring favourite Wild
about Wildflowers. All Go Bush
2001 activities are run at set dates and times and include aboriginal
arts and culture, nature walks, talks, community education workshops,
arts, crafts, canoeing, abseiling, 4WDriving and of course animals,
animals, animals. And there’s a great selection for the tiny tots.
So meet a snake, a bird,
a joey or an acrobatic stick insect. Join in the National Park Centenary
Discovery Days, magical history tours, workshops, weekends for the family
or come to the World Environment Day expo at Herdsman Lake. Children can hop into the Easter
Bilby Treasure Hunts, go frogging, or be a Ranger for a day. Iris
says, “Go Bush 2001 offers
history, mystery and lots of fun memories.” Call 9295 2244 for
