Make
a Simple Kite
You
will need:
Bind
the two sticks together tightly to form a cross. Cut a notch on the end of
each stick. Run a string around the ends of the cross so that you make a
diamond shape. Tie it firmly. Cut a piece of paper out so that it is
slightly larger than the diamond you have made. Put your diamond on the
paper and fold the paper edges over the string. Glue the paper down. Make a
tail using string and ribbons or paper. Attach a string to the top and
bottom of the kite. Tie these together in the centre and attach the line.
For
a more colourful kite decorate the paper before gluing it onto the frame.
One for toddlers
You
will need:
-
A
brown paper bag
-
String
-
Crayons
-
Masking
Tape
Let
your toddler decorate the bag with crayons. Cut a long piece of string and
using masking tape, attach each end to either side of the mouth of the bag.
Your child should have lots of fun running around and making it fly. If you
want to pretty it up a bit you could attach some brightly coloured crepe
paper streamers to the bottom.
