Welcome to the Quolkids bi-monthly newsletter. The aim of this newsletter is to keep you up to date with our news and what is happening on the Quolkids website as well as its ‘sister’ website ‘Soulbirth’.

Quolkids is all about ‘Quality of Life for Kids’. In the last edition, I mentioned that I will try to bring something in to celebrate the child, in their uniqueness and wonderment of life. Because as adults we do learn so much from our kids. Have you ever wondered what life is all about? As a child, I remember sitting around for hours on end contemplating life and what it was all about. Well here’s one idea:

What is life all about?

While the school holidays are still with us, why not get the kids out and about, doing lots of fun things together. With the New Year now well and truly here, it is a good time to reflect on all that we’ve achieved, and possibly set some new goals for the year ahead. I like to spend 5 minutes each morning when I wake giving GRATITUDE for all the wonderful things in my life. The following is from the Quolkids website and is certainly something worthwhile reflecting on:

I AM THANKFUL FOR .....

THE PARTNER WHO HOGS THE COVERS EVERY NIGHT,
BECAUSE HE/SHE IS NOT OUT WITH SOMEONE ELSE.
THE TEENAGER WHO IS NOT DOING DISHES
BUT IS WATCHING TV, BECAUSE THAT MEANS
HE/SHE IS AT HOME AND NOT ON THE STREETS.
FOR THE TAXES THAT I PAY, BECAUSE IT
MEANS THAT I AM EMPLOYED.
FOR THE MESS TO CLEAN AFTER A PARTY,
BECAUSE IT MEANS THAT I HAVE BEEN
SURROUNDED BY FRIENDS.
FOR THE CLOTHES THAT FIT A LITTLE TOO
SNUG, BECAUSE IT MEANS I HAVE ENOUGH
TO EAT.
FOR MY SHADOW THAT WATCHES ME
WORK, BECAUSE IT MEANS I, AM IN

FOR A LAWN THAT NEEDS MOWING,
WINDOWS THAT NEED CLEANING, AND
GUTTERS THAT NEED FIXING, BECAUSE
IT MEANS I HAVE A HOME.
FOR ALL THE COMPLAINING I HEAR ABOUT
THE GOVERNMENT, BECAUSE IT MEANS
THAT WE HAVE FREEDOM OF SPEECH.
FOR THE PARKING SPOT I FIND AT THE FAR
END OF THE PARKING LOT, BECAUSE IT
MEANS I AM CAPABLE OF WALKING AND
THAT I HAVE BEEN BLESSED WITH TRANSPORTATION.
FOR MY HUGE HEATING BILL,
BECAUSE IT MEANS I AM WARM.
FOR THE LADY BEHIND ME IN CHURCH
THAT SINGS OFF KEY, BECAUSE IT MEANS
THAT I CAN HEAR.
FOR THE PILE OF LAUNDRY AND IRONING,
BECAUSE IT MEANS I HAVE CLOTHES TO WEAR.
FOR WEARINESS AND ACHING MUSCLES
AT THE END OF THE DAY, BECAUSE IT
MEANS I HAVE BEEN CAPABLE OF WORKING HARD.
FOR THE ALARM THAT GOES OFF IN THE
EARLY MORNING HOURS, BECAUSE IT
MEANS THAT I AM ALIVE.
AND FINALLY.......
FOR TOO MUCH E-MAIL, BECAUSE IT
MEANS I HAVE FRIENDS WHO ARE

Universal Day of Soul-Birthing...

To get 2009 off to a good start, I have planned a whole lot of activities that I invite you to take part in. As you know, my other website ‘Soulbirth’ is focusing more on the ‘Spiritual’ aspects of life. As a way to launch this, I have planned the following:

Firstly, I would like to let you know about a big ‘community event’ we have planned to kick start the new year. I have declared a ‘Universal Day of Soul-Birthing’ on Saturday 7th February 2009. The day is focused on realizing our true potential and acknowledging beautiful souls everywhere on all planes of existence. I would like to dedicate time to honour our souls journey and raise awareness on a global/universal level about how truly amazing we all are!!

Come and join us for a family picnic. There will be free nibblies, drinks, face painting, balloons and crafts for the kids (and the young at heart). Pick up some information on the day about all the free events happening next year. Watch this space…AND please inform everyone you know about the day?!

Happenings...

In March this year, I will begin a series of FREE ‘teleclasses’ on a series of topics particular to my website. So if you’re interested in hearing more about ‘the souls journey’ through preconception, pregnancy, birth, parenting, living and dying, as well as everything in between, then make sure you stay current on our mailing list, as 2009 is going to be a very exciting year.

I have now begun working on the much awaited Companion Workbook for ‘Communicating with Your Unborn Child’, the CD I created last year. Everything happens at its right time!!! Sometimes it just takes a little bit longer than initially anticipated. As soon as it has been completed it will be announced and there will be a lot of celebrating and champagne corks flying!! Apologies to those of you that have been waiting for it for a very long time. In the meantime, you can read some information on the topic if you follow this link:
Communicating With Your Unborn Child

In 2009 I will be moving more into a coaching/mentoring role which I am really looking forward to. My journey is forever unfolding and taking me to more beautiful places. As the year progresses, I will be coaching more around the ‘Law of Attraction’ and ‘Creating the Life you truly Desire’. 2008 for me was a culmination of so many things. Becoming a published author alongside world famous authors and world class leaders, was a highlight.
