Ecovillage
Land hunt Launch - 14th July 2001
Land is
next!
We would
like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who took the time to
attend our presentation on the 14th July 2001 at Darlington
Hall. It was great for all to be able to meet other people interested in
our ecovillage project and to gain a better understanding as in which
direction the project is likely to unfold. If you did attend and have not
completed a feedback form please CLICK HERE
to do so.
The
presentation included information about
-
our
process to date
-
market
research and findings
-
information
on other ecovillages around the world
-
detailed
information about Crystal Waters Ecovillage in Queensland
-
key
points from out strategic plan
-
land
requirement overview.
With over
100 hundred people attending the presentation and with a strong interest
from most people attending to live in an ecovillage in Perth, it confirmed
to us both the need and demand for an ecovillage project right here in
Perth. To date we have been guided very much by the input and feedback
that many people have contributed. If you have not completed our questionnaire,
and would like to please complete it online.
It was
great to see an article in the West Australian Magazine on the 21st
July 2001 about Rosneath Farm located in our South West. This once again
supports the belief that more and more people are looking for an
alternative way to live their life and are open to learning about real
sustainable alternatives.
As the
process unfolds it would be most beneficial for the project for us to get
your feedback to your thoughts on our presentation and what you think
about Ecocom Solutions Incorporated. Please check the information about
what we are planning form Ecocom Solutions and give us your thoughts on
what we are proposing. Your valuable input would be most appreciated.
Some of
the key findings from the presentation were:
-
Our project is of
interest to people of all ages, from all walks of life and at
different stages in their life.
-
There is a strong and
vibrant demand for an ecovillage in Perth.
-
There is an excellent
level of knowledge among interested people about what an ecovillage
is.
-
Sense of community is a
key motivator for people choosing to live in an ecovillage.
We are
now actively looking for land and have identified a couple of potential
locations already. You can help by making us aware of any potential sites
that you may be aware of.
We value
your input and feedback and would like once again to thank you in taking
the time to review where we are at on this very exciting project..
If you
have any questions or would like to discuss any aspect of this project
please do not hesitate to contact us directly. Either Paul and Robyn on
9295 6695 or Jamie and Serina on 9295 1419.
