Who
is Ecocom Solutions?
We
are a not for profit organisation whose aim is to promote and seek funding
for ecovillage concepts in the Perth region of Western Australia. We have
been initially set up to help facilitate the building of an ecovillage in
the Hills area of Perth. Once this task has been completed and with the
knowledge we will all have gained from going through this process we hope
that many other projects can be helped in a similar way wherever they may
be situated.
Why
Join?
Ecocom
is the only organisation that we know of solely dedicated to the promotion
and implementation of ecovillage design principles, exclusively for the
Perth region. If you join us either as a Eco Friends member or as a Eco
Friends Plus member you will be providing us with the support we need to
get things going and also be sending a clear message to both legislators
and developers alike that there is a demand for responsible development.
As one of Ecocom's key
objectives is to support the development of an Ecovillage in the Perth
Hills - as an Ecocom member you can be actively involved in the community
building process and activities which will take place leading up to the
establishment of the ecovillage. Ecocom will be responsible for sharing
knowledge and skills such that the intending residents of the ecovillage
can be well prepared and equipped to make decisions on how they would like
all the community aspects of the ecovillage to unfold - Get involved!
Next year we will be
organising relevant workshops and seminars to share skills and further
develop the skills within the community in preparation for establishing
the ecovillage community.
